With headquarters in Herzebrock/Westphalia, the STEINEL group of electrical engineering companies leads the market for sensor technology and heat tools (hot-air guns, hot-melt glue guns, gas soldering irons). Over 1000 members of staff at six locations in Central Europe manufacture and sell products in German quality for the world market.
STEINEL is revolutionising the halogen floodlight market with innovative floodlight products that use power-LED technology. The sensor-controlled LED flat light screens instantly provide bright, radiant light.
Anyone wanting maximum security all around a building has so far had no other option than to use sensor-controlled halogen floodlights. Yet halogen bulbs come with the drawback of increasingly failing to meet modern-day demands on energy efficiency. Low-energy bulbs are unsuitable as an alternative for this application because they don't generate bright light quickly enough.
Leading the market for sensor-switched floodlights, STEINEL now presents a groundbreaking development that extensively satisfies the demands for instant full-power illumination as well as the highest possible level of energy efficiency: XLed sensor-switched LED floodlights with special, electronically controlled LED light. This innovative and ideal combination instantly provides radiant, bright light using only about 25% of the energy conventional halogen floodlights do.
Creating this outstanding lighting solution has demanded a completely new approach in LED control, cooling, optics and design. With perfected optics, it uses innovative high-end 3-W LEDs with specially developed cooling systems. But the really clever part is found in the microprocessor control electronics that make optimal use of the output from the LEDs.
XLed technology is available in two versions: The XLed 10 with 10 LEDs and a power consumption of about 25 W and the XLed 25 with 25 LEDs and a power consumption of about 60 W. The flat design light head made of high-quality aluminium is available in either black or white. Swivelling and tilting to virtually any position, the light head can be directed to achieve optimum illumination. The XLed can also be installed under porches because unlike halogen floodlights there is no need to allow for any safety distance.
The result is truly amazing: radiantly bright light all around the building at minimum energy consumption. Plus fascinating lighting effects with unique directional flexibility.
