Senses for better buildings

For a better use of space worldwide - welcome to Smart Spaces.

Experience smart spaces – rooms with optimum room/space utilisation and the best conditions. Our sensors continuously analyse the situation and provide information such as the number of people and the occupancy of meeting rooms. This allows rooms and spaces to be optimised for future use, while at the same time the lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are adjusted via the building management systems.

Next big thing.

EO sensor. Transforms rooms into intelligent rooms.

Work in progress. The new EO sensor will answer fundamental questions about building and room utilisation before the end of this year. To do this, it relies entirely on infrared technology for its analyses, thus ensuring maximum protection of privacy. EO enables data-supported optimisation in various industries and sectors. In retail, for example, customer movements can be used to analyse sales, while in airports, office buildings, schools and production facilities, the sensor enables smarter control of buildings in terms of health, safety and the environment.

Entirely new analysis possibilities

Zoning

Detailed detection and control by dividing the area into up to 96 zones per sensor.

Counting

How many people move where in the building? With this key information, buildings become smart buildings.

Timing

Determination of frequency and dwell time in certain zones for controlling heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Tracking

Determine and analyse the routes taken by people with the help of unique and individual IDs.

Traffic Counting

"Red line concept" for the precise tracking of crossings of specific lines.

Temperature Mapping

Temperature measurement accurate to the degree in all zones of the detection area.

Connection between hardware and software

Capstone

With the new Capstone® software solution, it is possible for the first time to detect and visualise all IP and Bluetooth sensors and lights in the network. This provides a complete overview of the building status: temperature, humidity, CO2, VOC, noise, smoke, presence, brightness and number of people. Based on the analysed data, optimisation suggestions can then be made for better use of space.

It sees everything.

HPD 2 - tested and approved.

Which rooms are used by how many people and how often? The optical sensor records the occupancy of meeting rooms and desks with pinpoint accuracy and transfers the data to FlexDesk or meeting room management solutions. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning are then controlled based on the real-time data. The data can be used to optimise space for future decisions.

Application areas

Organising flexible workplaces

A workplace in a major international city costs €10,000 or more per year. Yet often half of the workstations are not occupied. With the desk-sharing solution, you can see at a glance where workstations are still free. Idea: Improve the utilisation rate and save money.

Meeting room management

Which meeting room is free? Which one is occupied? Where is the meeting taking place? Our meeting room solution allows you to quickly and reliably determine room utilisation and actual occupancy, and even how many people are in the room.

Optimise waiting queues

Nobody likes queuing. Neither in the supermarket at the checkout nor at lunch in the canteen. With the Waiting Line solution, new checkouts are opened and staff are sent to the points to quickly clear queues.

High-cost locations require efficient utilisation of space. Smart Workspace helps us achieve this. The HPD2 is the sensory organ of the building and provides us with the data we need to optimise our space based on data rather than on instinct.
