Why does the motion detector not work?
With tangential movement (transverse), a very large number of zones are traversed. The IR sensors achieve large ranges.
With radial movement (towards the sensor), zones are only crossed very late, which ensures significantly reduced ranges.
This leads to the user having the impression that the motion sensor would not work properly.
During installation, the sensor should therefore be positioned in such a way that many zones are crossed for typical directions of movement in order to achieve an optimum result.
If defects in the product are due to material and manufacturing faults, STEINEL will guarantee perfect condition and function.
We grant a manufacturer's warranty of 36 months for private use of our products, or 500 operating hours for hot air tools, commencing on the day of sale to the consumer. The warranty service is provided by repair or replacement of defective parts at our discretion. The warranty does not cover damage to parts subject to wear and tear, or damage and defects caused by improper handling or maintenance. Further consequential damage to third-party objects is excluded.
The warranty will only be granted if the undismantled device is returned with a description of the defect, receipt or invoice (date of purchase and dealer's stamp), well packed. We will check the warranty claim and, if necessary, provide repair or replacement at our discretion.
