STEINEL Solutions has developed a comprehensive IoT cloud system solution for a plumbing company based on a Thread wireless mesh network. The data is securely and reliably transferred to the cloud. The solution includes tiny gateways, a smartphone app for Android and iOS for easy configuration, and a web-/client-based application for managing and evaluating the devices.
An electronic module expands the functions of the sanitary fittings with digital inputs and outputs, records additional measurement data and transmits it in real time to the cloud via a central gateway. This data, relevant for optimising maintenance and monitoring drinking water installations (e.g. according to DIN 1988-200), enables customised, standard-compliant flushing and action plans that are monitored in real time in the software.
