Europahafenkopf, Bremen
The newly created urban Europahafenkopf neighbourhood in Bremen combines contemporary living and working. The focus is on a high quality of life. Over 3,000 sensor luminaires and sensors from STEINEL provide intelligent lighting control in the variously used areas, maximising both user comfort and energy efficiency for the operators. A networked lighting solution from STEINEL is used in the living area, while DALI-2 IPD sensors ensure precise lighting control and energy savings in the office area.

The intelligent lighting control system is based on wireless networking and operation of the luminaires via Bluetooth Mesh. This is cost-effective and easy to install and set up. Luminaires in the stairwell and underground car park can be combined and controlled in lighting groups. For example, when entering the car park, the nearest lighting group can be activated in the ambient light so that users are never in the dark and can already see the surrounding areas. Areas without movement remain dark, which saves energy.

All R-series lights can be conveniently commissioned and adjusted using the STEINEL Connect app. This not only reduces the installation effort enormously, but is also helpful if adjustments need to be made at a later date. The lights can also be networked with each other via the app.

The new Bluetooth mesh technology opens up completely new networking possibilities. The Bluetooth technology we use complies with the specifications of the Bluetooth SIG standard and is therefore also future-proof.
