Silvair Ecosystem: Firmware update September 2024

Bluetooth® NLC certification

In order for existing sensors to use the new Bluetooth® NLC certification functions, they must be updated to the latest version using the Silvair mobile app.

✓ The firmware update is optional
✓ The firmware update takes about 3-4 minutes per sensor

Requirements

  • An account in the Silvair web application (with the role of ‘installer’, ‘manager’ or ‘owner’)
  • An iOS mobile device with Bluetooth activated
  • The Silvair mobile application
  • Access to a project with devices that are to be updated
  • Internet access via the iOS mobile device to access the project
  • For Steinel (External) firmware updates, a ZIP file with a new firmware version

Step 1: Update the Silvair firmware to version 2.31.0

Update the Silvair Mobile app according to the instructions ‘Silvair OTA firmware update (Englisch, 11.2023)’.

Step 2: Steinel (External) Firmware Update to version 1.3.0

Download the zip files and upload them to the Silvair mobile app to update the Steinel (External) firmware.

See ‘Silvair OTA firmware update (Englisch, 11.2023)’ chapter ‘3. Updating the firmware’, p. 4.

Sensitivity of motion detection

To use the new functions in relation to sensitivity, each sensor must be removed from the network and re-commissioned after the firmware update.

Activating sensitivity: HB PIR 345 NET, HB PIR 3360 NET and PIR NET sensors

For sensors that use passive infrared technology (HB PIR 345 NET, HB PIR 3360 NET and PIR NET), it is now possible to deactivate the sensor (setting to 0%).

Setting the sensitivity of the HF2 NET sensor

The sensitivity of the HF2 NET sensor can now be precisely adjusted in the Silvair mobile app using a handy slide control (default setting 80%).
