REACH (= Registratie, Evaluatie en Autorisatie van Chemische Stoffen)

De REACH-verordening (EG) nr. 1907/2006 is de Europese verordening voor chemische stoffen en staat voor Registratie, Evaluatie, Autorisatie en Beperking van Chemicaliën. De verordening is sinds 2007 van kracht in de Europese Unie. Het toepassingsgebied omvat alle stoffen en chemische mengsels als afzonderlijke entiteiten of in geselecteerde producten. De REACH-verordening wordt uitgevoerd en gecontroleerd met behulp van het Europees Agentschap voor chemische stoffen (ECHA). De volgende doelstellingen zijn geformuleerd in artikel 1 van de verordening:

• Een hoog niveau van bescherming van de menselijke gezondheid en het milieu waarborgen
• het vrije verkeer van stoffen op de interne markt waarborgen
• Het concurrentievermogen en de innovatie verbeteren

Kandidatenlijst ECHA: Informatieplicht over zeer zorgwekkende stoffen onder artikel 33 van de REACH-verordening

De informatieplicht geldt voor zogenaamde zeer zorgwekkende stoffen (SVHC). Er moet informatie worden verstrekt over de gebruikte SVHC en over het veilige gebruik van de producten in de toeleveringsketen. De afzonderlijke stoffen zijn samengevat in de ECHA-kandidatenlijst, die elke zes maanden wordt bijgewerkt. De huidige versie van de kandidatenlijst kan worden bekeken op de ECHA-website.

Volgens onze huidige kennis en op basis van informatie van onze leveranciers, bevatten sommige van de producten die we momenteel aanbieden SVHC-stoffen boven de grenswaarden van 0,1 massaprocent van de ECHA-kandidatenlijst. Als onze kennis verandert, zullen wij op onze website zo snel mogelijk meer informatie geven over de betreffende STEINEL-producten.

REACH (= Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemical Substances)

The REACH regulation (EG) No. 1907/2006 is the European regulation of chemicals and stands for the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemical substances. It has been in force in the European Union since 2007. Their scope includes all substances and chemical mixtures as a separate unit or in selected products. With the help of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) the REACH regulation is implemented and monitored. Following aims are set in the first article of the regulation:

• The guarantee of a high level of protection for human health and environment
• The guarantee of the free circulation of substances in the domestic market
• The improvement of competitveness and innovation

ECHA Candidate List: Obligation to Inform about Substances of Very High Concern according to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation

The obligation to inform applies to so-called substances of very high concern (SVHC). Information about used SVHC and the products‘ safe use have to be delivered within the supply chain. Those substances are listed in the candidate list of the ECHA which is updated every six months. The current version of the candidate list is available on the ECHA’s website.

To the best of our knowledge and based on our suppliers‘ information there are some of our offered products which contain SVHC substances on the candidate list in a concentration above 0,1 % mass percent. If our knowledge changes, we will provide further information about affected STEINEL products on our website as soon as possible.
