REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemical Substances)

El Reglamento REACH (CE) n.º 1907/2006 es el reglamento europeo sobre sustancias químicas y se refiere al registro, la evaluación, la autorización y la restricción de sustancias químicas. Está en vigor en la Unión Europea desde 2007. Su ámbito de aplicación abarca todas las sustancias y mezclas químicas como unidades separadas o en productos seleccionados. La Agencia Europea de Sustancias y Preparados Químicos (ECHA) se encarga de la aplicación y el control del Reglamento REACH. En el artículo 1 del Reglamento se formulan los siguientes objetivos: Garantizar un alto nivel de protección de la salud humana y del medio ambiente.

Lista de candidatos de la ECHA: obligación de informar sobre sustancias extremadamente preocupantes de conformidad con el artículo 33 del Reglamento REACH

La obligación de informar se aplica a las denominadas sustancias extremadamente preocupantes (SVHC). Debe facilitarse información sobre las SVHC utilizadas y sobre el uso seguro de los productos dentro de la cadena de suministro. Las sustancias en cuestión se recogen en la lista de candidatos de la ECHA, que se actualiza cada seis meses. La versión actual de la lista de candidatos puede consultarse en el sitio web de la ECHA.

Según nuestro conocimiento actual y basándonos en la información de nuestros proveedores, algunos de los productos que ofrecemos actualmente contienen sustancias SVHC por encima de los límites del 0,1 % en masa de la lista de candidatos de la ECHA. REACH (= Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemical Substances)

The REACH regulation (EG) No. 1907/2006 is the European regulation of chemicals and stands for the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemical substances. It has been in force in the European Union since 2007. Their scope includes all substances and chemical mixtures as a separate unit or in selected products. With the help of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) the REACH regulation is implemented and monitored. Following aims are set in the first article of the regulation:

• The guarantee of a high level of protection for human health and environment
• The guarantee of the free circulation of substances in the domestic market
• The improvement of competitveness and innovation

ECHA Candidate List: Obligation to Inform about Substances of Very High Concern according to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation

The obligation to inform applies to so-called substances of very high concern (SVHC). Information about used SVHC and the products‘ safe use have to be delivered within the supply chain. Those substances are listed in the candidate list of the ECHA which is updated every six months. The current version of the candidate list is available on the ECHA’s website.

To the best of our knowledge and based on our suppliers‘ information there are some of our offered products which contain SVHC substances on the candidate list in a concentration above 0,1 % mass percent. If our knowledge changes, we will provide further information about affected STEINEL products on our website as soon as possible.
