The idea behind

Eurogress car park

In public car parks, the periods of heavy use can vary considerably. Events at Eurogress take place at very different times of day. To ensure that the car park is always adequately lit without maintaining the previous 24-hour continuous lighting, an alternative solution was required. The solution: the 5100 Series. The RS PRO 5100 SC enables lighting control to be adapted to the conditions on site. The light is switched on where people are present and where it is needed. Individually adjustable time intervals ensure that the lighting is dimmed to a lower level as soon as no further movement is detected. Demand-based lighting control can reduce energy consumption and operating costs compared with continuous 24-hour lighting.

Potential savings

Compared with conventional T5 lighting, the RS PRO 5100 SC offers significantly lower energy consumption. When combined with demand-based lighting control, this helps to prevent lights from being left on unnecessarily and enables further energy savings. The actual potential for savings depends on the specific usage and initial situation.

Particularly in view of the ban on T5 light sources coming into force in September 2023, everyone should be considering the issue of retrofitting.
Connected Lighting offers the opportunity to combine the retrofit with demand-based lighting control and to realise additional potential for energy savings.
