At the Rain am Lech residential complex, STEINEL Connected Lighting provides demand-based lighting for the outdoor areas. Around 120 luminaires are networked throughout the site, including models from the A Series as well as complementary downlights and luminaires from the R Series. Bluetooth Mesh enables the luminaires to communicate wirelessly and allows the lighting to be individually adapted to the different areas. This means light is available exactly where it is needed. Compared with continuous lighting, this reduces energy consumption while also avoiding unnecessary lighting in areas that are not in use. For residents, this primarily means greater comfort and better orientation. The lighting responds automatically to how the different areas are used and provides coordinated lighting control even with the complex geometry of the buildings. A conventional solution using individual motion detectors would have required greater installation effort. Connected Lighting provides a networked solution that can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of the residential complex.
